Bereavement Support

When you lose a child, sadness and grief can make dealing with everyday life a struggle. It can be hard to concentrate and make simple decisions.

At CHAS we understand that every family is different. People react and grieve in various ways. We know that you’ll experience many different feelings and emotions in the weeks and months ahead. And, we simply want to offer the kind of support that’s right for you.

Our nursing and family support team will talk to you about how you’d like to be supported. They’ll also explain what we can offer. We’ll try to help you make the right choices – always respecting your decisions.

We’re here for all the family

We offer support to the whole family too. That’s parents, siblings, grandparents and the extended family. There are lots of ways that we can help. The main thing to remember is that we’re here for you and your family while you make this difficult journey.

Our bereavement support includes:

  • One-to-one support
  • Counselling
  • Group support
  • Accessing support in your local community
  • Spiritual care
  • Remembering Days
  • Anniversary Cards
  • Newsletters
