FAQs

Is it possible for me to interview a family at Robin House or Rachel House?

Wherever possible we will try to accommodate interview requests, although a family’s situation can change rapidly, so all requests will be dealt with on an individual basis. Please contact the press team on 0131 444 1900 with the details of your request and we will try to arrange either a phone or face-to-face interview with a suitable family.

I’m interested in writing a story about a children’s hospice, can I visit?

Please contact the press team on 0131 444 1900 to let us know when you would like to visit. While Rachel House and Robin House make every effort to arrange suitable visits, sometimes it is not appropriate, due to the situation in the hospice at that time. We do offer open days at both hospices once a year, when there are no children or young people staying. Tour dates are publicised on the CHAS website.

I’m running a story can I obtain a CHAS photo?

We have an extensive photo library, please contact the press team on 0131 444 1900 for a particular shot. When our photography involves families we ensure the participants are happy for their image to be used.

Can I obtain a quote from CHAS for a press release?

We would be happy to provide a quote or statement if we feel it’s appropriate. Please contact the press office on 0131 444 1900 with details of what you are looking for.

Can the Press Office publicise my CHAS fundraising event to the media?

The press team would be happy to discuss your event and advise if this may be of interest to the media. We cannot guarantee that your event will appear in the press, however we would be happy to consider the story for the CHAS website news section, facebook page, Twitter page or newsletter.

Can I use the CHAS logo?

Please contact the press office on 0131 444 1900 for any logo enquiries. Alongside the logo we will also provide you with our guidelines on its correct use including size, colour and layout.
